What is tokenization?
Tokenization allows returning customers to save their card details securely — stored by Redsys, never on your server — and pay with a single click on future purchases. Customers manage their saved cards from My Account.
How does it work?
- After their first purchase, the customer opts to save their card.
- Redsys stores a token; your store only keeps a reference.
- On the next visit, the customer selects the saved card and pays in one click — no card entry, no redirect.
- They can even pay directly from a product page, skipping the cart and checkout entirely.
